Opening Prayers

Blessed are you, Lord God, King of the Universe,
who has brought us safe through the night
to the beginning of this day.
Receive our worship and praise
as we gather this morning.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Blessed be God for ever.

Preparation for Confession.

God is a Holy God, and we are normal people.
Here the God of Heaven meets the dwellers of earth.
As we seek to hear and speak with God
we recognise that we fall short of the standards that he sets,
for many reasons.
So let us not hide our sins, but be aware of them,
and ask for God's forgiveness,
so that we may draw closer in peace.

Absolution

May God, ever-loving,
God, all-powerful,
God, ever-gracious,
Forgive us our sins,
and grant us His Peace.
Amen

Benedictions (final blessing)

Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meschach and Abednego
who sent his angel and delivered his servants
who trusted in him.
May that same God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
guide, keep, and protect us
this day and always.
Amen.
